Rodriguez stop timer

Tap each event as it happens. The timeline this produces is the one piece of evidence that wins or loses a Rodriguez motion. Works offline once loaded and saves on this device until you clear it.

How to use it without getting burned

    Before
    • Hit Start when you activate your lights, not when you walk up.
    • Your phone clock, CAD, and bodycam should agree within seconds. Check once per shift.
    • Type the basis for the stop now, while it is fresh.
    During
    • Tap Reasonable suspicion developed the moment you have it and write the facts in the note. This single entry is what justifies everything after it.
    • Tap K9 requested at the radio call, not when you think of it.
    • Keep working the mission while you wait. The clock does not stop.
    After
    • Copy the timeline straight into your narrative. Do not retype times from memory.
    • Reconcile with bodycam before you submit. If they disagree, the bodycam wins and your report says so.
    • Clear the timer only after the report is written.
Policy check. Using a personal phone during a stop may be restricted by your department. A department tablet, MDT browser, or a second officer running the timer all work. The timeline is a memory aid, not an official record.
